Introducing Orbit® Gauge Software 5.0 (OGS 5), the next generation of  Solartron precision measurement software, with Multi-Nest functionality, and seamless integration of sensors, PLCs and barcode scanners.

Equipped with modern UI, advanced metrology calculations, built-in scripting, and hardware simulation tools, OGS 5 is designed to facilitate gauge automation, data collection and maintain traceability from day one.

• Multi-Nest Functionality - Allows multiple stations within a single gauge line, meaning simultaneous measurements of multiple parts, utilising the gauge hardware fully. Supports up to 6 inline or parallel nests.

Measurement Templates

OGS 5 includes Measurement Templates that provide an easy way to configure part‑characteristic measurements using pre‑defined mathematics required for the measurement calculations. OGS 5 offers templates for general math, form, profile, orientation, and location characteristics. Templates can also be imported and exported, enabling a library of measurement calculations to be built for quick implementation in new inspection applications

SI 8500 - Heavy Duty & High Powered Hardware for OGS5

Solartron Metrology can implement a fully automated measurement system using Orbit® Gauge Software 5, equipping the user with unique capabilities. If hardware is required, OGS5 is offered on the SI 8500, a high powered readout with 15.6" capacitive touch screen, the capability to network up to 200 sensors, and high ingress protection for industrial applications.
