Solartron adds digital short probes to world-leading metrology tool range

Solartron Metrology has launched a new Digital Short Probes range, expanding its world-leading portfolio of metrology tools.

The three space-saving Digital Short Probes offer customers across the industry spectrum greater flexibility and adaptability, while delivering the same performance as standard-size digital probes.

The new Solartron Digital Short Probes are available now and key features include:
·       Excellent measurement repeatability (better than 0.15µm)
·       Resolution better than 0.1µm
·       Proven ball-bearing-sleeve technology for repeatability and long life
·       Ideal for applications where space is an issue

Solartron Digital Short Probes support Orbit® Network features

In addition to the excellent repeatability and resolution, and the long lifespan, the Digital Short Probes support all the Solartron Orbit® 3 Digital Measurement System features.
Combining multiple sensors using the Orbit Digital Measurement network is easy and data can be read using a Solartron readout or the Gauge Computer Software making system integration simple.
The benefits of these short digital probes can be further optimised when used with the system, which is a digital, modular network built for easy data collection and analysis via a PC, PLC or existing in-house network.
Up to 150 Orbit®3 digital sensors can be networked together in a single interface, providing rapid, repeatable and reliable data acquisition. Interfaces include USB, Ethernet TCP/IP, RS232, Bluetooth wireless and six PLC protocols.
