Solartron celebrates a strong 2018 and prepares for a busy 2019

Tuesday, December 11, 2018

2019 is nearly upon us and we are coming to the end of a busy and successful year at Solartron Metrology.

The company goes from strength to strength and, over the last 12 months, we have consolidated our position as one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of precision sensors for quality control, test and measurement and machine control.

A year of investment in our resources, our company and our customers

We have continued to invest in our facilities, equipment and expertise, and in our ability to innovate, develop new technologies and help our customers take better products to market. This commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has helped us to build new client relationships and strengthen existing ones, cementing our reputation across the industry spectrum

We have showcased this commitment and our innovation and achievements on the global stage, including at the Control international trade fair for quality assurance in Stuttgart and the Birmingham-based TCT Show , a world-leading 3D printing, additive manufacturing and product development events.

Solartron Metrology major product launches in 2018

Our reputation for excellence is built partly on our ability to develop new technology and, in 2018, we launched a number of new products to help our customers meet the challenges of their demanding, constantly evolving industries, and benefit from the opportunities that these advances present.

During the first half of the year, we launched the Solartron Wireless Connection Module . This innovative technology helps customers to use multiple wireless sensors simultaneously. Previously, they had been restricted to just seven wireless sensors.

Most recently, we unveiled the new Solartron sealed probes for measuring in harsher environments. These IP 68 sealed probes are designed for oily and extremely wet gauging applications where an IP 65 rating is insufficient. The new probes are sealed at all points of ingress, to IP 68 standard, and offer improved sealing compared with IP 67 sensors.

Also, Solartron Metrology has filled out its line of Protocol Interface Modules, with EtherCAT® gateway now added, in addition to Profinet® and Ethernet I/P®.  Almost any PLC can now connect to Solartron’s industry leading Orbit® 3 Network.

In 2019, expect more industry leading sensors that will help customers reduce cost and assure accurate measurements,

Planning for a busy and successful 2019 at Solartron Metrology

While it’s good to reflect on our successes over the course of this year, we aren’t resting on our laurels. We are already busy planning for 2019, when you can expect us to continue to show the same level of dedication to hard work, innovation and customer service that we have displayed in 2018. We are looking forward to it.
