Solartron Metrology - 2021 highlights

Tuesday, December 14, 2021

2021 has been a landmark year for Solartron Metrology, in no small part due to the fact that we celebrated our 75th anniversary last month. In addition, it’s been 50 years since we developed our first precision analogue probe and 25 years since our first digital probe was created!

Our company also made some investments across the year in an effort to be part of the many ‘green initiatives’ taking place within most industries. These took the form of purchasing an advanced humidity controller and two new air compressors.

Other investments we made over the last year included the following:

Precision grinding is key to Solartron Metrology’s products, ensuring high performance and a long life. The automatic bowl feed means higher throughput which helps to reduce lead times and enables fast response when products are needed quickly.

Correct heat treatment of our component parts is essential and is a core competence for Solartron. Investing over £120k in a new vacuum furnace with a high end controller in 2021 secured this process going forward, to ensure we could continue to make and develop the very best sensors in the future.
